When visiting a foreign land, like Bali, your intentions should be made clear from the start. If you plan to stay for a vacation, then you will only need your passport and Visa on Arrival. However, working in Bali is not allowed if you are there only as a traveler.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to work from Bali, then you must have KITAS or ITAS. KITAS stands for Kartu Izin Tinggal Sementara and ITAS stands for Izin Tinggal Sementara. Both of these terms have a similar meaning and role, which is to allow you to temporarily stay and gain income as a foreigner in Bali.<\/span><\/p>\n

ITAS or KITAS can accommodate foreigners who are employed to work there for more than a few months. When you hold this stay permit, you can open a bank account and pay taxes. Usually, you will need this permit if your work period extends for 6 to 12 months, depending on the job titles.<\/span><\/p>\n

The work permit card can only be granted if a company actually hires a foreigner for a specific position. In this case, the company has to prove that the employment is necessary. It has to be noted that the company must do legal business to be allowed to hire a foreigner.<\/span><\/p>\n

Types of KITAS<\/span><\/h2>\n

Working KITAS<\/span><\/h3>\n

If you intend to work in Bali, then you must have a working visa. This ITAS or KITAS Bali will allow you to earn income and manage your money from your personal bank account. Any foreigners who work in Bali can use the card to prove their legitimacy as workers there.<\/span><\/p>\n

Investor KITAS<\/span><\/h3>\n

The other type of ITAS or KITAS Bali is the one intended for investors. The Foreign Investment ITAS or KITAS allows investors to stay in Bali and manage their businesses. There are two types of indices you can choose from, which are C313 and C314.<\/span><\/p>\n

Foreigners who work in art departments can have a specific type of work permit called a Limited Stay Visa. Holding this card will allow these artists, including models, musicians, actors, and DJs, to gain income legally in Bali.<\/span><\/p>\n

Student KITAS<\/span><\/h3>\n

A student KITAS Bali is specifically intended for students who need to conduct their study on the island. This permit allows foreign students to perform their role without meeting any legal issues along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Repatriation KITAS<\/span><\/h3>\n
